I’ve just returned from Skye where I guided Cathy on a 2 day Cuillin Ridge Traverse in SUPERB conditions. A traverse of the Cuillin Ridge is one of the finest mountaineering challenges in the UK over constantly technical ground. There were only 2 other teams attempting the traverse over the weekend which made it all the quieter for us and meant no waiting at the usual bottlenecks. We avoided all the tempting shortcuts getting full value from the ridge and spent an atmospheric bivi below Sgurr Thormaid. Skye doesn’t get any better.Well done Cathy!
